Small Business Applications

The Calix 740 ONT supports small business applications, such as might be found in retail strip malls and standalone business locations. Alternatively, it can be used when service providers run fiber directly to their business customers in large office buildings. Based on the same form factor as the Calix single-family ONT, the Calix 740 provides a fixed configuration of one Ethernet port, one RF port, two POTs ports and two T1s. The Ethernet port can be purchased as either a 10/100 or a 10/100/1000 interface. As with all Calix ONTs, voice can be provisioned as TDM or SIP-based VOIP.
