The EXA Powered C7 is built on an Ethernet kernel optimized for the access network, leveraging the latest generation of deployable Ethernet standards. It is the next step in the evolution of a platform that is the primary vehicle connecting over 500 communications service providers (CSPs) to their residential and business subscribers.

The RAP-10GE forms the core of the EXA Powered C7. Leveraging the same EXA kernel as the E7, the RAP-10GE is the C7 common control unit with an aggregate switching capacity of 150 gigabits per second and integrated 10GE and GE interfaces. EXA Powered VDSL2, GPON, and GE line cards give CSPs powerful options in meeting demand for high bandwidth Ethernet services in today's competitive telecommunications landscape.

EXA Powered line cards can be deployed in combination with any of over 40 multiprotocol line units already available on the C7, so CSPs can deploy advanced services with the latest generation of fiber, Ethernet, and copper access technologies while continuing to support highly margin legacy TDM and SONET-based services from the EXA powered C7.
