Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy the new E5-400 Ethernet
and transport aggregation platform. In this class you will provision protected Ethernet
transport networks using EAPS and RSTP between E5-400 shelves. You'll also learn how
to configure Ethernet aggregation for access platforms like the C7 and E5-100,
including configuring protected connections using RSTP and LAG. This course is
available in-person or through our Virtual Classroom.
Who should attend
- Technicians who manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and configure Ethernet transport networks
- Technicians who configure and maintain Ethernet uplinks from the C7, E5-100, or F5 access platforms
- Engineers and planners who want an overview of the Calix E5-400
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of telecommunications and engineering standards
- Understanding of Ethernet networks including Layer 2 switching and VLANs
- Comfort with using computers and software
Learning aids
During the class, you'll follow along with the lectures and demonstrations using a
printed reference guide. After class, you will use the reference guide to review class
content and view procedures. Calix also provides you with a Calix pen and certificate
of completion.
